This month’s Acocuntancy magazine has an article on Islamic finance on page 66. The picture shows what one would imagine to be a collection of coinage from Arab countries. One is in fact an Israeli telephone token known as an “asimon” which was probably chosen due to the Arabic characters at the foot underneath the Hebrew. No doubt somebody’s head will roll but hopefully not literally.
