For some unknown reason every time the mashing machine disgorges its contents there is a socks mismatch.
This week I started to ponder what an auditor would do? Firstly, is the problem a material one? Secondly, does it indicate something amiss? Thirdly, is it a going concern issue?
Point 1: There are 2 odd socks so are they 2 other socks mismatched or are 2 actually missing in action? Out of 10 pairs this is prbably material
Point 2: Is the cleaner secretly spiriting them away or is the washer or dryer gobbling them up?
Point 3: I may run out socks
Surely I am not alone in this conundrum , and I am desperately seeking guidance how to prevent recurrences …..
