Please read the following instructions before downloading and installing Vectis.
Uninstall previous version
Existing users MUST uninstall previous copies of Vectis. Use Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs. Your data will be kept safe although, as with any software upgrade, you should always back up your data first. You can do this as you exit your existing Vectis.
The link below points to a zip file containing the Vectis installation files. This file can be downloaded and the files extracted. The file setup.exe should be run to install Vectis itself. The best way to do this is as follows:
- Click on the link below
- When asked to 'Open' or 'Save' click on 'Open'
- Four files should appear in a list in Winzip (or another file de-compresser)
- Double click the readme.txt text file in case there are any relevant messages.
- Double click the setup.exe file (the program file not the lst file)
- Winzip will install Vectis from there
If you have problems with the installation as described and you are familiar with installing software on your PC, you can install as you would normally do from the zip file. There are no special considerations. Otherwise, please contact us for assistance.
