Registered office facilities/services

A limited company must have a registered office. This must be in the country of incorporation (ie a Scottish company must have a Scottish address) and has to be shown clearly on all official company documentation. A post office box number may not be used unless it is accompanied by a real address.

The registered office need not be the same as the trading address. It is an address that is to be used for the serving of official documents and where the company register is normally kept.

It is important that the address you use is secure and that all official documentation will be forwarded to you in a timely manner. Failure to respond to certain communications could lead to your company being penalised or struck off for non-compliance.

Foreign companies and people with a small business who are frequently on the move often use a third party, such as ourselves, to provide a registered office address.

Our service receives official documents only (ie it may not be used as a trading address) and we will forward them to an address of your choosing. To find out more please contact us.
